Throughout my shoots at the forge, I experimented with video which i am now very confident with, I find it extremely useful to involve my photographic skills within the video process. Some of the angles, focussing and other techniques have been transferable between the two mediums and this is extremely useful.
As well as shooting video, the Canon 5D Mark 2 can shoot stills at the same time. Although this is extremely useful, I find the stills to not be as high quality (interms of exposure and lighting) as the video footage. It is because of this that I have decided to not include the still that I take whilst taking video. I think that if I am going to include still in my final piece, mixed with video then I will shoot the stills at a different time. Reflecting had made me come to this conscious decision.
Below are some of the stills that I took on the second shoot at the forge. Some of the lighting and exposure is not at a high standard like I would want.
